Just my luck to get sick during the last few days of Fashion for Life and the start of assignment season for RL school. Joy. I did have time though, between doing readings and sounding like I was trying to cough my lungs out, to scoop up a few more things from Fashion For Life. Of course there's always time for shopping. :P

If you've gone to the Volta sim at FFL 2012, Styles of Edo is a must-visit. Four of their Fashion for Life tuxes are down to 300L$. I got the Step Lapel one and wore it with SF's past dress shoes group gift, Edmund. Speaking of which, I also grabbed SF Design's rancher boots that were put up for 55L last Friday's sale. It's not there anymore, but check out how beautifully-made the pair is.

The skin I'm wearing is Heartsick's group gift Ritsu. Actually, I got this as a hunt item in FFL, so I had to pay a small fee. But if you've joined Heartsick's group, you can take it from the notices for free. I don't mind paying 50L though. Heartsick's skins are awesome and the small price would help cancer research anyway.

Finds from the Past

It's always great to find new stores to shop at, and while roaming the Past themed sims of Fashion for Life I stumbled across such a one. Vlintuition is a store which sells Arabic and Indian themed clothing and what's even better is that both their Fashion for Life location and their main store is having a sale.

I scooped up the Naina Grande Maharani Sari set which is also one of the single donation items that's set out for Fashion for Life. The set contains 27 pieces and there are various ways for you to wear the outfit. Shown above is the Arabian style and the outfit comes with the body chain and bangles.

Speaking of extras, the outfit comes with modesty add ons as well. Luc was amused at how I could go from harem girl to all covered up in one outfit. On the other hand I was simply delighted at the wonderful color and texturing of the material.

And here's yet another way to wear this outfit. It comes with a handful of variations of scarves and tops so you can spend hours just mixing and matching the pieces around.

Step into the past.

You would think that with a worthwhile cause and a whopping ten sims of shopping, I'd be one of the first in line to the Fashion for Life sims. Sadly, that was not the case, though I'm pretty happy to have managed some exploring today. It's a start at least, and since I have a habit of being a little tardy, I decided to start in the Past.

Another reason for choosing that era to start in was because the Momentum sim is home to one of my favourite stores. The Sensuality White outfit is one of two donation items from PeKaS designs. I immediately liked the well made criss crossing ties that hold the skirt together. The whole outfit is sexy but not in an over the top way and as always inspires me to do some rping. It went great with the Domenica hair from EMO-tions which was also another insta-buy for me. 

Hunts and Gatchas are another fun aspect of Fashion for Life. I didn't expect to get hooked onto gatchas so quickly until I laid eyes on the one belonging to Plastik. The Soul Ink Reloaded eye tattoos comes in many variations and I found that I couldn't stop at just one.  

And speaking of eyes, the pair I'm wearing in the picture is the hunt gift from Vanity Flair. Luc thinks they look scary, which is my cue to wear them for a while.

It's Time

Last month, Tabby gave me the heads up on registering for the Fashion For Life team, an arm of the Relay For Life Organization, which raises money for Cancer Research. I got into their group a few days back, but didn't officially have the tag until today. The sims will be opening later to the public at 12 nn, so please come and help us out for this cause. I will be writing an article about this on SLEnquirer, but for the meantime, check out their site HERE for more information on how you can contribute. There will also be gacha, raffles, and hunt events that will happen in the place, but these hunt items, though, will not be free. Hunters will have to pay 10 -100L to get the stuffs. This one's going for a good cause, so we're asking all the help we can get. Please please please support this event. You'll not only be helping people, you'll also be having fun doing it.

There will be 10 sims involved, each with a different theme to it. Since these 10 are grouped and connected together, you can just walk around these places like you're watching time unravel before your eyes.
