Whistle while you hunt

Before I discovered that blogs such as SL Hunts existed, I used to get my hunt fix by going to certain stores and check out what hunt was currently running there. One of those stores was Vero Modero, for a number of reasons. 

1) They usually had a lot of hunts going on in tandem. 

2) The store is huge and I like a challenge when I hunt, 

though I get distracted by all the pretty along the way.

3) The quality of Vero Modero's hunt items have never 

disappointed me. Not once.

On to the goodies. 

The Now that you are mine hunt (June 1st - July 31) is this lovely bridal gown. It comes complete with veil and no less then three skirt options! All for 0 L

I've mentioned before on an earlier blog post that Finesmith is having a sale at their mainstore...well this sale extends to it's store on Marketplace as well. I snapped up the amazingly detailed Heartbreak necklace for only 100 L. Don't forget to rate items which you like!

If you're Faerie crazy like I am, the Midsummer Night's Dream hunt (June 21st - July 21st) is also currently running at Vero Modero. Elegant lacework aside, I spent time squeeing over the original interpretation of the wings. This is one hunt item to have in your inventory, and you don't have to pay a single L for it.

Once in a while I'll find a men's outfit that's worth resizing down to fit me. Vero Modero's gift for the Make him over hunt (June 15th - July 15th) is one of those outfits. It's totally kooky and free, a combination that gets a lot of love form me.

PeKaS Designs + Finesmith + Ploom

PeKaS Designs has released a line of mesh formal and casual dresses and I'm more then psyched to see the vendors adorning the new release wall at the store. If you've come to relate beautiful design and eye catching textures to the PeKaS brand name then you won't be disappointed with this new collection. 

For those who haven't been under a rock, or buried in work like me, it's the last day of the Finesmith Spring hunt. You'll need the group tag to get prizes in 20 boxes scattered around the store and it's a 100 L to join the group. It's totally worth it and the hunt is relatively quick, just don't get distracted by the sale going on at Finesmith right now. 100 L for single items....wait, what was I talking about *spaces out*

Ploom is having a retirement sale. 61 hairstyles and all skins are at 50% off. I haven't had the time to try some demos for the skins, what with my inventory being stuffed to the max with hair. If Second Life were at all like Skyrim, I wouldn't be able to move at all. Ever. Doesn't mean I won't make the trip back though...

New Releases and Other Goodies at Ezura

*Crawls out from other a pile of assignments* Hi there! If there's one thing I'll never be able to figure it, it's why I thought it would be a "great" idea to work and go to school at the same time! It's not something that I can figure out as I'm pretty sure I wasn't drugged, intoxicated, or even sleepy when I signed my name on that internship contract. Well, that aside, I have a bit (teeny tiny) of breathing room now, and thought, "Why not blog?!"

So here it is:

If you roleplay, or just love to deck out your avatar in alternativewear then shopping at Ezura is simply a must. The creator, Ezura Xue, has never failed to impress me with her creative designs and fine detailing to all her clothing pieces and footwear. Pictured is the newly released, Eva Gothic Lace Dress, which simply awed me with it's intricate lacework all over its bodice and skirt. The peek-a-boo skirt added a sexy touch to the outfit without being over the top.

Also a new release is the Mai Gothic Spiked Collar, which I think goes well with the dress. If you're looking to spice up an outfit or if you're tired of your necklaces, then why not try this particular piece? It'll literally add an edge to your outfit. You can also find the Exotic Ballerina Heels in store as well, and they come in a feathered or non feathered variant in the pack that you buy. Whichever you choose though, you can be sure to turn heads in this creative pair of shoes.

Mesh-y goodness + Sale

Lately I've found myself wearing more mesh, and mostly the reason for this is Delirium Style. I've blogged about their growing collection of mesh outfits and separates, and since then the genius behind Delirium Style, Christel Morane, has added even more amazing items to her line.

Delirium Style - Lavena (325 L)

Since you always get so much out of your purchase at Delirium Style, the boots and bangles (mesh) are included with the outfit as well.  And if you fancy just the jeans or the mesh tube, they are available as separates as well. Five different colors for the Lavena jeans and eight different designs for the mesh tube top. Talk about being spoiled for choice!

One of my favourite parts in this outfit was the shoes. Most of the time, my avvie is in heels, or hooves and it's just nice to see her wearing something comfortable, plus they're just an adorable pair! The mesh spaghetti strap top is also sold as a separate and comes in seven designs.

I've always liked that term, even if it does sound a little morbid. But then again I did spend some of my childhood on a farm and that was a pretty common sight, especially during dinner. Anyway, that's not the point of this post. That's usually how I like my eggs. In Second Life though, eggs usually means the shape of the prim you have to hunt out to get various goodies. That's certainly true for Vero Modero's Easter Hunt (March 23 - 8th April). Go around the main store and find 12 eggs which contain both female and male prizes. There's hunt hints too, so be sure to click on the poster of the hunt at the landing point.

PeKaS Designs. Truth District Sale.

A one week sale (1st to 7th April) is going on at Truth District. Several stores have either set out one item in their store that's 50 percent less then the usual asking price while others stores have everything at 50 percent less. *squees in happiness.* You have to be a member of the Truth District group to reap the benefits though and there's a group fee to pay should you join the group during this sale.

Technicalities aside, one of the stores participating in the sale is of course Truth. I used this opportunity to get some of the rigged mesh hair styles out and it was lindens well spent. If you've gone to the Volta sim at FFL 2012, Styles of Edo is a must-visit. Four of their Fashion for Life tuxes are down to 300L$. I got the Step Lapel one and wore it with SF's past dress shoes group gift, Edmund. Speaking of which, I also grabbed SF Design's rancher boots that were put up for 55L last Friday's sale. It's not there anymore, but check out how beautifully-made the pair is.

The skin I'm wearing is Heartsick's group gift Ritsu. Actually, I got this as a hunt item in FFL, so I had to pay a small fee. But if you've joined Heartsick's group, you can take it from the notices for free. I don't mind paying 50L though. Heartsick's skins are awesome and the small price would help cancer research anyway.

Finds from the Past

It's always great to find new stores to shop at, and while roaming the Past themed sims of Fashion for Life I stumbled across such a one. Vlintuition is a store which sells Arabic and Indian themed clothing and what's even better is that both their Fashion for Life location and their main store is having a sale.

I scooped up the Naina Grande Maharani Sari set which is also one of the single donation items that's set out for Fashion for Life. The set contains 27 pieces and there are various ways for you to wear the outfit. Shown above is the Arabian style and the outfit comes with the body chain and bangles.

Speaking of extras, the outfit comes with modesty add ons as well. Luc was amused at how I could go from harem girl to all covered up in one outfit. On the other hand I was simply delighted at the wonderful color and texturing of the material.

And here's yet another way to wear this outfit. It comes with a handful of variations of scarves and tops so you can spend hours just mixing and matching the pieces around.
