Mad as a Hatter

Yes, Pekas has released its new set of outfits. I'm wearing one of them --- Urban Insanity --- and interestingly enough, the Mad Hatter is the picture shown at the back. Here's a random bit of trivia: The term Mad Hatter was coined because hatters during the 1800s would use mercury in making felt for hats, and well, they would commonly suffer mercury poisoning. PeKaS Designs + Finesmith + Ploom

PeKaS Designs has released a line of mesh formal and casual dresses and I'm more then psyched to see the vendors adorning the new release wall at the store. If you've come to relate beautiful design and eye catching textures to the PeKaS brand name then you won't be disappointed with this new collection. 

For those who haven't been under a rock, or buried in work like me, it's the last day of the Finesmith Spring hunt. You'll need the group tag to get prizes in 20 boxes scattered around the store and it's a 100 L to join the group. It's totally worth it and the hunt is relatively quick, just don't get distracted by the sale going on at Finesmith right now. 100 L for single items....wait, what was I talking about *spaces out*

Ploom is having a retirement sale. 61 hairstyles and all skins are at 50% off. I haven't had the time to try some demos for the skins, what with my inventory being stuffed to the max with hair. If Second Life were at all like Skyrim, I wouldn't be able to move at all. Ever. Doesn't mean I won't make the trip back though...

PeKaS Designs. Truth District Sale.

A one week sale (1st to 7th April) is going on at Truth District. Several stores have either set out one item in their store that's 50 percent less then the usual asking price while others stores have everything at 50 percent less. *squees in happiness.* You have to be a member of the Truth District group to reap the benefits though and there's a group fee to pay should you join the group during this sale.

Technicalities aside, one of the stores participating in the sale is of course Truth. I used this opportunity to get some of the rigged mesh hair styles out and it was lindens well spent. The start of every month usually means that we're showered with new group gifts from generous designers all around the grid. This is no different at PeKaS Designs and I picked up my group gifts from their Sub-O a couple of hours back. You can also join their in world group to grab this outfit.

PeKaS Designs doesn't only specialise in Gorean fashions, it puts out fabulous modern outfits too. One such example is this month's group gift, the Catraz outfit. Sexy and casual it's perfect for exploring any urban roleplaying sim in. If you're not into roleplaying the outfit is perfect for nights in a club.

 Speaking of clubs and parties, one of PeKaS Designs new releases include this flighty outfit called Borboun. Yes, Mardi Gras is behind us, but Second Life always has a timeless quality, so there's nothing really stopping you from putting this on and (literally) shaking your tail feather.

Step into the past.

You would think that with a worthwhile cause and a whopping ten sims of shopping, I'd be one of the first in line to the Fashion for Life sims. Sadly, that was not the case, though I'm pretty happy to have managed some exploring today. It's a start at least, and since I have a habit of being a little tardy, I decided to start in the Past.

Another reason for choosing that era to start in was because the Momentum sim is home to one of my favourite stores. The Sensuality White outfit is one of two donation items from PeKaS designs. I immediately liked the well made criss crossing ties that hold the skirt together. The whole outfit is sexy but not in an over the top way and as always inspires me to do some rping. It went great with the Domenica hair from EMO-tions which was also another insta-buy for me. 

Hunts and Gatchas are another fun aspect of Fashion for Life. I didn't expect to get hooked onto gatchas so quickly until I laid eyes on the one belonging to Plastik. The Soul Ink Reloaded eye tattoos comes in many variations and I found that I couldn't stop at just one.  

And speaking of eyes, the pair I'm wearing in the picture is the hunt gift from Vanity Flair. Luc thinks they look scary, which is my cue to wear them for a while.
